Don's love of music has been with him from his earliest memories, but his love of the guitar began on Christmas day, when he was just 9 years old.
That was the day that he received his very first guitar and he has never stopped playing since.
Don's exceptional instrumental proficiency, dedication, and joy in the art of guitar music quickly attracted the attention of renowned instructor and performer Ignaccio Vecchio, who accepted Don as his protégé.
Don's private, one-on-one instruction continued for many years and his appetite for musical diversity led him to study many different styles of guitar. Don continued his education under the direction of legendary guitarist Stephen Pearson.
His professional career included many years touring the Northeast as Lead Guitarist in various Rock and Metal Bands such as "Black Rose" and "Rise" until he realized that his love of the instrument was best served by bringing that joy to others through teaching guitar lessons.
In addition to teaching Don is recording and performing Solo Classical Guitar at various venues as well as writing and recording his original compositions in a diverse range of styles from Pop to Rock to Orchestral.
Don's original composition, "Teenage Fantasy" was singled out for special honors in the 2002 U.S.A. song writing competition.
Don is a Staff Instructor at the New York School of Music in Walden, NY and offers ABRSM exam prep instruction for Classical Guitar as well as instruction for the various electric guitar styles aforementioned.
In addition to performing, Don now teaches Classical guitar lessons, Spanish Guitar and many other styles in Kingston, New York.
